Snaply 0.1.73
Highlights
1. Bring Your Favorite Cloud Model
Snaply now supports a much larger model catalog.
You can choose models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, xAI, Groq, and Mistral. Recommended models are shown first, and search is available when you want a specific model.
2. OpenAI-Compatible Endpoints
You can now connect Snaply to OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
That means Writing Assistant, meeting titles, AI notes, and Ask AI can use Ollama, LM Studio, LiteLLM, a local server, a private proxy, a company gateway, or a hosted provider with an OpenAI-style API. You provide the base URL, model name, and optional bearer token.
3. Automatic Meeting Detection
Snaply can now detect supported Google Meet calls and ask whether you want to take notes.
When a detected call starts, Snaply shows a small prompt. When the call appears to end, Snaply can ask whether you want to stop and process the notes. Detection uses local Mac signals, not external meeting APIs.
Other Improvements
- Added a dedicated cloud API key flow with encrypted app vault storage.
- Added recovery for previously saved provider keys from older Snaply builds.
- Improved Meeting Notes readiness checks for microphone access, system audio, diarizer setup, selected microphone status, and AI notes availability.
- Improved Meeting Notes recovery when a recording or processing step is interrupted.
- Improved cloud provider error messages in the Writing Assistant.
